What should I have ready when calling?
Describe the property address, what you can safely see from the ground or indoors and when the concern appeared. Do not climb a roof, use a ladder or attempt a temporary cover. Ask whether the independent provider serves the address and what assessment it would perform. The inquiry ZIPs do not establish availability.
How can I check a contractor?
Ask for its name, applicable Louisiana license classification and insurance. Use the LSLBC real-time search yourself. An independent provider decides whether to accept an inquiry and any contract is between you and that provider.
